Many companies selling Digital Controllers into the UK market self certificate thier controllers.

And the problem with this ?

The problem with this is that if you want your product CE marked your controller has to have the following certification of conformity

EN 60730-2-9 (or its equivalent EN number)

If you do not have this then you will not get CE accreditation. If you have used a controller without an EN number then your product will not be eligable for a CE mark.
